My academic and research interests focus on clinical nephrology and advanced nephrology nursing care, with particular emphasis on chronic kidney disease (CKD), advanced chronic kidney disease (ACKD), and maintenance hemodialysis. My research explores the clinical, psychological, and healthcare-related factors that influence patient outcomes, adaptation to chronic illness, and overall well-being. My primary areas of interest include psychological resilience, mental health, health-related quality of life, adaptation to chronic disease, shared decision-making, and patient education in kidney care. I am also interested in the study of clinical and biochemical markers, patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), and person-centered approaches to improving the care of individuals living with kidney disease. In addition, my work focuses on the development and optimization of nurse-led advanced chronic kidney disease clinics, including patient education programs, preparation for kidney replacement therapy, enhancement of the patient experience, and evaluation of quality-of-care indicators. My research integrates clinical investigation, evidence-based nursing practice, and healthcare quality improvement to advance outcomes for patients with kidney disease.
