Dr. Gudepalya Renukaiah Rudramurthy

Dr. Gudepalya Renukaiah Rudramurthy received his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. His doctoral research was aimed at the development of molecular diagnostics against trypanosomosis, including PCR-based diagnostics and serological diagnostics exploring recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies. Dr. Rudramurthy was a Fulbright-Nehru postdoctoral research fellow from 2018 to 2020 at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Poxvirus and Rabies Branch, Division of High-Consequence Pathogens and Pathology. The project in collaboration with the National Centre for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS-NIH) aimed to screen and characterize small-molecule inhibitors against the rabies virus. Dr. Rudramurthy presented an invited lecture at Kansas State University (KSU), Kansas, through the Fulbright program’s Outreach Lecture Fund (OLF).
