Hugo Rojas-Chávez is currently working at the Tecnologico Nacional de Mexico, Departamento de Ingeniería. The broad direction of Hugo’s research is to develop novel strategies to obtain semiconductors, among many other materials, with desired electronic structures that can give rise to interesting properties. The physicochemical properties of the as-synthesized materials are studied by using both experimental techniques and atomistic computational methods. Hugo collaborates often with theoretical teams, ensuring that the as-synthesized materials make it out of the lab and onto the computer bench.
