Haibin Zhao is a research professor at the School of Electronics and Information Engineering, Hangzhou Dianzi University. He received his bachelor’s degree from Chongqing University in 2017, followed by a master’s degree in Electronic and Information Engineering in 2020 and a PhD in Computer Engineering in 2024 from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany with the highest distinction (summa cum laude). His doctoral dissertation, Algorithm-Driven Design and Optimization Analog Printed Neuromorphic Circuits, was supervised by Prof. Michael Beigl and Prof. Mehdi B. Tahoori (IEEE Fellow). From 2024 to 2025, he led the R&D of AI agents for complex problem diagnosis at Trip.com. He joined Hangzhou Dianzi University in December 2025. Haibin Zhao focuses on AI-driven electronic design automation for flexible electronics and neuromorphic computing. He explores hardware intelligence and intelligent approaches to electronic system design. His research covers advanced AI algorithms and their hardwarization, efficient hardware-aware optimization algorithms, and hardware–software co-optimization methods, with the goal of enabling ubiquitous intelligence in resource-constrained extreme-edge scenarios. His work has been published in leading EDA and edge-computing venues, including IEEE TCAD, DAC, UbiComp, and ICCAD.
