Halil Karahan received a BSc degree from the
Department of Civil Engineering at Cukurova University, Adana, Turkey, in 1979,
and MSc and PhD degrees from the Institute of Science and Technology at
Dokuz Eylul University in 1984 and 1988, respectively. He has been lecturing
in the Department of Civil Engineering at Pamukkale University since 1992. His
research interests include hydrodynamic and groundwater modeling and parameter
estimation with neural networks, genetic algorithm, and spreadsheet modeling.
He has published many national and international scientific papers. He has also been
involved with many international irrigation and drainage projects.
