Currently I am a postdoctoral researcher in a joint project between the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and the Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique entitled “Strengthening drought governance and the resilience of the population of the Oum Er Rbia basin to the effects of water scarcity”. My current and previous research focuses on geospatial modeling of climate and environmental risks using advanced geomatics and artificial intelligence tools. My long-term goal is to actively contribute to innovative projects to promote sustainable development. My scientific approach is based on the use of open source multi-sensor remote sensing and new Artificial Intelligence methods for the development of drought indicators and spatial modeling of the vulnerability of semi-arid agrosystems in the central Sahel and Mediterranean.
