Harro Maat is an associate professor in the Knowledge, Technology and Innovation group at Wageningen University. His PhD dissertation (Wageningen University, 2001) and current work are at the intersection of the History of Technology, Science and Technology Studies, and Political Agronomy. Recent work focuses on technological practices and social dynamics in agriculture, food and health. Of particular interests are socio-technical dynamics at the grassroots level, revealing how local practices and community structures interact with the global circulation of plants, diseases and innovations.
