Dr. Helen Harris

Helen Harris, Ed.D., MSW, LCSW-S serves as Associate Professor of Social Work at Baylor University’s Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, One Bear Place #97320, Waco, TX 76798-7320. Dr. Harris received her MSW (1979) from Our Lady of the Lake University and her EdD from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor (2011). She has worked in adoption and foster care, crisis and trauma work, and as the founding director of Community Hospice of Waco. Dr. Harris’ research interests include grief and cognition, adoption, and the integration of faith and social work practice, including social work in congregations and religiously affiliated organizations.
