Biography Dr. Hongkun Yang is an Associate Professor work in Sichuan Agricultural University. He earned his Ph.D. in Nanjing Agricultural University, which included a joint Ph.D. training at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) in Australia. His primary research focuses on Agronomy, Physiology, Structural Physiology, and Soil Microbiology to address key challenges in sustainable crop production and favorable food uses properties. His specific research interests include: (1) The interplay between root-soil interactions under conservation tillage. (2) The structures of starch and protein in response to environmental stress and crop management. (3) Mechanisms underlying tillering capacity, drought resistance, shade adaption and the improvement of nutrient use efficiency in wheat. Dr. Yang has a strong track record of competitive research grants, including projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Department of Science and Technology of Sichuan Province. His scholarly output is significant and high-impact. Notably, he has authored 14 first-authored papers published in JCR Q1 TOP journals, including Food Research International, Field Crops Research, and Soil & Tillage Research. Dr. Yang is an Associate Editor of “Technology in Agronomy” “Frontiers in Plant science” and is well-equipped to serve as an Editor for a SCI journal in the fields of agronomy, crop physiology, food chemistry, and sustainable agriculture.
