Iacopo Passeri is a PhD student in Genetics at the Department of Biology, the University of Florence, Italy. He is interested in the study of epigenomic signatures in bacterial genomes. His model organisms are plant symbiotic rhizobia, which are studied in terms of epigenomic differentiation and correlation between transcriptome, cell cycle regulation and DNA methylation. He is currently also developing computational pipelines for the analysis of such genome-wide methylation patterns.
