Crab’s shells of Portunus pelagicus species were used as raw materials for synthesis of hydroxyapatite were used for protection against demineralization of teeth. Calcination was conducted to crab’s shells of Portunus pelagicus at temperature of 1000°C for 5 hours. The results of calcination was reacted with (NH4)2HPO4, then dried at 110°C for 5 hours. Sintering was conducted to results of precipitated dried with temperature variations 400–1000°C for a hour each variation of temperature then characterized by X-ray diffractometer and FTIR in order to obtain the optimum formation temperature of hydroxyapatite is 800°C. The hydroxyapatite is then tested its effectiveness in protection against tooth demineralization using acetate buffer pH 5.0 with 1 M acetic acid concentration with the addition of hydroxyapatite and time variation of immersion. The results showed that the rate of tooth demineralization in acetate buffer decreased significantly with the provision of hydroxyapatite into a solution where the addition of the magnitude of hydroxyapatite is greater decrease in the rate of tooth demineralization.

Cancer refer to genetic changes in the DNA structure accompanied by abnormal growth of normal cells, and resulting in the death of these structures, and is a disease currently recognized as a major cause of mortality globally. Chemotherapy plays important role in breast cancer management. Non-toxic metals have been developed to replace the highly toxic cisplatin, an example being Manganese. Furthermore, Ligands have displayed great capabilities in the determination of anticancer properties, and an essential agent exploited in drug development is arginine dithiocarbamate. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the anticancer potentials of Mn (II) arginine dithiocarbamate. The synthesis and spectroscopic analysis of the Mn (II) Arginine dithiocarbamate complex was successfully carried out. Then, the complexes were characterized through the employment of the UV-Vis, FT-IR, as well as the melting point tests, and subsequently analyzed for anticancer activities through in vitro means. The compound was produced from UV-Vis spectrum at 246 and 385 nm wavelengths and IR spectrum at wave numbers 354-499 cm−1. The results revealed the cytotoxicity of Mn (II) Arginine dithiocarbamate against the MCF-7 cell line, observed from a significant change in the morphology of the cancer cells with IC50 value of 211.53 μg/mL. The compound, Mn (II) Arginine dithiocarbamate has effective anticancer potentials against MCF-7 cancer cells.

Hybrid organic–inorganic halide perovskites (HOIPs) have recently represented a material breakthrough for optoelectronic applications. Obviously, studying the interactions between the central organic cation and the Pb-X inorganic octahedral could provide a better understanding of HOIPs. In this work, we used a first-principles theoretical study to investigate the effect of different orientations of central formamidinium cation (FA+) on the electronic and optical properties of FAPbBr3 hybrid perovskite. In order to do this, the band structure (with and without spin–orbit coupling (SOC)), density of states (DOS), partial density of states (PDOS), electron density, distortion index, bond angle variance, dielectric function, and absorption spectra were computed. The findings revealed that a change in the orientation of FA+ caused some disorders in the distribution of interactions, resulting in the formation of some specific energy levels in the structure. The interactions between the inorganic and organic parts in different directions create a distortion index in the bonds of the inorganic octahedral, thus leading to a change in the volume of PbBr6. This is the main reason for the variations observed in the electronic and optical properties of FAPbBr3. The obtained results can be helpful in solar-cell applications.

Breast cancer continues to be a major health issue for women all over the world. Cancer medications like cisplatin, which are widely used, still have negative side effects. The novel complex was created as a potential anticancer medication candidate that is both effective and safe, with few side effects. The Cu(II) complex using the prolinedithiocarbamate ligands was synthesized in situ. The Cu(II) complexes Characterization by UV-Vis, FT-IR spectroscopy and melting point determination, conductivity, and HOMO-LUMO were studied. Computational NMR spectrum analysis was performed. The interaction of Cu(II)prolineditiocarbamate complex with cancer cell target protein (MCF-7) was confirmed by molecular docking and molecular dynamic. The pharmacokinetic/ADMET properties were also performed on the complex. Results of the cytotoxic complex test against cancer cells (MCF-7) undergoing apoptosis with an IC50 value of 13.64 µg/mL showed high anticancer activity in MCF-7 cancer cells. The in-vivo data for Cu(II)prolineditiocarbamate complex was predicted using the Protox online tool with an LD50 value of 2500 mg/kg and belonging to the GHS toxicity class 5, which means the compound has a low acute toxicity effect. The Cu(II) prolineitiocarbamate complex may pave the way for the development of essential metal-based chemotherapy for the treatment of breast cancer. Communicated by Ramaswamy H. Sarma

A new complex of Zn(II) that contain amino acid valine and dithiocarbamate ligands were synthesized and characterized by using Ultraviolet Visible (UV-Vis), Infra Red (IR) spectroscopy, X-Ray Fluoroscence (XRF), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), melting point and molar conductance. The complex was prepared by “in situ method” and showed that complexes are successfully synthesis. The invitro cytotoxic complexes compound was examined againts MCF-7 (breast cancer) using cis-Pt drug as a control positive and the complexes exhibit very strong invitro cytotoxic againts MCF-7 based on IC50data is 639,35 µg/mL which indicates that the complex can induce the morphological MCF-7 cancer cells changes towards apoptosis. Complexes compound were evaluated as their antibacterial agents activity against ofmycobacterium tuberculosaH37RV using LJ method and results show these complexes are potential as anti-tuberculosis agents. Therefore this complexes compounds can be use to new drugs compound in the treatment againts of MCF-7 and tuberculosis.
