Ines Radanović, Full Prof., gained her MSc in biology and PhD in ecology. By redirecting scientific interest to biology education, a significant contribution to the improvement of teaching has been made in Croatia through the introduction of research work in the field of biology education. The research results and their subsequent refinement enable the continuous development of all aspects of experiential and discovery learning based on reasoning, culminating in the achievement of conceptual understanding and the preparation of tasks for higher cognitive level knowledge verification in teaching and learning, as well as other aspects of biology teaching. According to research findings, her work on developing concepts is continuously refined based on the conceptual framework for learning biology she established, with the dissemination of research outcomes in the form of suggestions for improvement at primary, secondary, and higher education levels of biology teaching. She is the initiator of various activities, e-learning and collaboration with biology teachers in Croatia, as well as the journal for teaching (Educatio Biologiae), the journal of pupil research papers in biology (Bioznalac) and various activities for students, including the organisation of public university student seminars (BioStudoLogije) for primary and secondary school pupils.
