42 yrs. Physics sciences PhD since 2012 (Cluj Napoca Babeș Bolyai University, Romania). Responsible since 2007 for the Metal Isotope Laboratory; was involved in developing and implementing reliable analytical methods by advanced techniques (ICP-MS and LA-ICP-MS) for identify the inorganic contaminants and biochemical reactions in aquatic ecosystems, by correlating their mobility with stable isotopes. Coordination of research activities on applying the development of isotopes and other markers/bio-markers in environmental and life sciences, emphasizing food safety, ecology, and hydrology. Development and validation of sensitive analytical methods for food authentication; Application of metal isotopes as source and process tracer in food studies. Analytical strategies for Sr and Pb isotopic signatures by ICP-MS applied to the authentication of beverages; Monitoring the process of adaptation and mitigation of the effects of climate change by studying stable isotopes and isotopic ratios of different matrices (food, drinks and other natural products: e.g. essential oils) in order to certicate their autenticity and quality. Involved in developing of complementary methodologies for isotopic fingerprinting for the characterization and classification of natural products to determine the origin and traceability of materials.
