Dr. Estrada holds a B.Sc. degree in Pharmaceutical-Biological Chemistry, an M.Sc. degree in Immunology and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Universities in Mexico and Canada. Since 2011, he has been working as a Full-Time Professor and Principal Researcher at the Neurochemistry Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine, Autonomous University of the State of Mexico. His research is mainly focused on the interplay between nutrition and the immune and nervous systems at the cellular and molecular level.
