Currently I work as Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering of Vitoria-Gasteiz, in UPV/EHU. My background as Architect with a PhD in Thermal Engineering helped me understanding in depth Building Energy Performance. I have worked in both new buildings and refurbishment processes where the human factor takes a big presence. In any case, during all these public projects and private initiatives consider very relevant the teamwork and I was able to learn everyday from multidisciplinary mates. In short, I am Doctor in Thermal Engineering (UPV/EHU, 2017) and a member of ENEDI research group. I also hold a M.Sc. in Research in EE and Sustainability in Industry, Transport and Construction (UPV/EHU, 2012); M.Sc. in High School Teaching of Physics and Chemistry (University of La Rioja, 2011) and a Degree in Architecture (UPV/EHU, 2009). During the PhD I studied the adaptation of single-family houses in northern Spanish climate towards the nZEB objective, and it was funded by a Regional Government schollarship. My main Research-lines: nZEB, thermal comfort, Building Energy Monitoring, Refurbishment of public housing, retrofitting and laboratory techniques to test buildings energy performance.
