Dr. Jidong J. Yang is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Georgia. His research lies at the intersection of Transportation and Artificial Intelligence (AI), embracing a multidisciplinary approach that integrates engineering, data science, machine learning, computer vision, system optimization, the Internet of Things, and cyber-physical systems. His work is focused on developing innovative machine learning and deep learning methods and techniques while harnessing the vast potential of "Big Data" for diverse engineering applications. Dr. Yang serves on the editorial boards of the ASCE Journal of Infrastructure Systems and Applied Computing and Intelligence. He is also a member of the TRB ADB50 Committee on AI and Advanced Computing Applications and the ASCE AI in Transportation Committee.
