Jan Ketil Rød teaches and supervises students in Geographic Information Systems and Science (GIS & S). Rød's research is broadly in applying GIS addressing issues related to climate change adaptation, vulnerability, environmental hazards, accessibility of health services, disaggregated studies of armed conflicts, urban planning, and the use of GIS in education, especially field based education.
