Associate Professor Dr. Jaroon Jakmunee received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Prince of Songkhla University, Thailand in 1990. He worked as a Chemist in Thai-tech Rubber Corporation, Co., Ltd. for 2 years before continuing his graduate study. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Chiang Mai University, Thailand in 1997. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University, Thailand. His research interests are the development of new analytical methods, including electrochemical biosensors and immunosensors, electrochemical, and flow-based analytical techniques for medical, agricultural, and environmental applications. His research focuses on synthesis and utilization of various nanomaterials for enhancing performance of electrochemical and colorimetric sensors/biosensors and fabricating of portable analytical platforms including smart phone-based electrochemical and colorimetric sensing devices and microfluidic devices.
