Javier A. López, PhD, is an Associate Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and a researcher at the National Institute of Limnology (INALI-CONICET-UNL), Santa Fe, Argentina. He completed his PhD in Natural Sciences at the National University of La Plata in 2009. His research interests include amphibian ecology, biodiversity conservation, environmental impacts, and the biochemical properties of amphibian skin secretions. His recent research focuses on natural and synthetic peptides as potential multi-target agents against neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease.
