My research focuses on molecular microbiology, specifically investigating bacterial virulence, antibiotic resistance, foodborne pathogens, bacteriophages (phages), and phage-host interactions. I aim to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying bacterial tolerance to environmental stress and antibiotic resistance/tolerance, as well as to identify novel strategies for combating antibiotic-resistant pathogens. My work also extends to understanding how phage proteins mediate host takeover and their potential applications in phage therapy and biotechnology.
