Jinzhong Tao has been a professor at the Department of Animal Science, College of Animal Science and Technology, Ningxia University since March 2023. He received his bachelor's degree (1997/09-2001/06), master's degree (2001/09-2004/06), and doctorate (2004/09-2007/06) from Gansu Agricultural University. He was a visiting scholar at Lincoln University, New Zealand, from March 2015 to June 2016. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Gansu Agricultural University from July 2011 to January 2015. He worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Animal Science, College of Agriculture, Ningxia University, from 2007/07 to 2008/09, a lecturer in the Department of Animal Science, College of Agriculture, Ningxia University, from 2008/09 to 2009/07, an associate professor in the Department of Animal Science, College of Agriculture, Ningxia University, from 2010/07 to 2016/12, and a professor in the Department of Animal Science, College of Agriculture, Ningxia University, from 2016/12 to 2023/03. He is a director of the Agricultural Branch of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, a director of the Sheep Breeding Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and an official veterinary training instructor in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
