Joanna Harasym holds a Master’s degree from Wrocław University of Science and Technology (1994) and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (2003). She is currently the Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Food Analysis at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business as well as a Professor at Wrocław University of Economics and Business. She started working as a Lecturer in 2004 and later became an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the same university. Joanna is also an Independent Consultant at B+R Consulting. Her research interests lie in advancing food science research
and innovation and she aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
