The convergence of sports and tourism industries is a vital direction for the coordinated development of industries, and a vital means to build a quality life circle suitable for living, working and traveling in the urban agglomeration of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). By using the coupling coordination degree model and exploratory spatial data analysis and establishing an evaluating indicator system for the converged development of sports and tourism industries, this paper measures and analyzes the convergence development level, spatial-temporal evolution, and spatial correlation of the two industries in 11 cities of GBA from 2011 to 2020. The results showed that the synthetical development level of the two industries in urban agglomeration of GBA was steadily rising, with significant differences in regional development, showing the east coast of GBA > the north coast of GBA > the west coast of GBA. The growth trend of industrial convergence degree is obvious, but the overall coupling coordination degree is not high, basically in the late maladjustment stage and transition stage. The convergence of the two industries shows a positive aggregation distribution in space, and the degree of agglomeration is rising. Cities around the Pearl River Estuary mostly belong to the “high-high” spatial association type, with obvious spillover effect, and become a significant growth pole for the converged development of the two industries in GBA. Cities in the periphery of GBA and the west coast of GBA mostly belong to the “low-low” and “low-high” spatial association types. Finally, sustainable development strategies are put forward from four aspects: spatial layout coordination, industrial division coordination, exchange platform coordination, and regional policy coordination, so as to promote the highly converged and coordinated development of the sports and tourism industries in the urban agglomeration of GBA.

In the era of experience economy, sports tourism has been emerged as a new tourism form and consumption hot spot. Evaluation of the competitiveness of sports tourism is helpful to accurately grasp the key competitive factors of sports tourism development and enhance regional sports tourism resource development, market expansion and product upgrading. This study adopted entropy-weight TOPSIS model to construct the index system of sports tourism competitiveness of urban agglomerations and investigated the sports tourism competitiveness of 11 cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from 2016 to 2020. The obtained results showed that sports tourism development in the Greater Bay Area was unbalanced and obviously different. Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong are competitive, Macao is average competitive and Dongguan, Jiangmen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhongshan, Huizhou and Zhaoqing are less competitive. Based on evolution trend, sports tourism competitiveness in Guangzhou has always been at the forefront of the Greater Bay Area, while those of Hong Kong and Macao have presented a declining trend. Also, sports tourism competitiveness in inland cities has been continuously enhanced and the development focus of sports tourism in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has gradually shifted to mainland. The 11 cities of the Greater Bay Area were classified as strong, average and weak areas on the basis of their sports tourism competitiveness scores. Finally, in terms of the overall situation of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and specific conditions of various cities, countermeasures and suggestions have been provided for sports tourism resource development, sports tourism service level, government functional departments, event brand building, enterprise integration, etc.

Yuan, J. and Liu, Y., 2020. Evaluation of tourism efficiency in the coastal areas of China in the context of the happiness industry. In: Zheng, C.W.; Wang, Q.; Zhan, C., and Yang, S.B. (eds.), Air-Sea Interaction and Coastal Environments of the Maritime and Polar Silk Roads. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 99, pp. 144–150. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.As China's tourism industry enters a new era of the happiness industry, tourism livelihood efficiency has become an important basis for testing the development effect of tourism. Based on the perspective of the happiness industry, this paper takes Guangdong Province as an example to evaluate tourism livelihood efficiency in coastal areas. The DEA model and Malmquist model are used to measure tourism livelihood efficiency with the spatial and temporal evolution of 21 cities in Guangdong Province from 2010 to 2017. The results show that the tourism livelihood efficiency of Guangdong Province has reached a good state overall and that tourism development has entered a stage of intensive growth. The evolution of regional tourism efficiency has obvious regional characteristics, with the regional tourism efficiency of the Pearl River Delta being larger than that of eastern Guangdong, the mountainous area and western Guangdong. Based on the status of tourism livelihood efficiency over the years, cities are divided into four types: the strong type, growth type, steady type and stagnation type. Corresponding strategies are proposed based on the characteristics of different regional types.

Under the background of economic and cultural integration, combining folk culture with the tourism industry for brand management will promote the sustainable development of the local tourism industry. Through obtaining 2011 online comments from Ctrip and hornet's nest, selecting top 60 high frequency words with further emotional analysis, semantic network analysis and sentiment analysis by ROST CM6 to Guizhou Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village which is known as the "Miao Culture Museum", this paper finds out the factors that affect folk tourism, and puts forward products, services, channels, pricing and brand protection strategies to strengthen the inheritance and protection of traditional ethnic culture and raise the awareness of local people to participate in and protect it. It not only has certain reference value for improving the satisfaction of domestic folk tourism tourists, but also enriches the research methods of the sustainable development of folk tourism and provides new research ideas.

Red tourism is the innovative form of ideological and political education for contemporary college students as well as fruit of red culture education through computer and modern information technology. An quantitative study is conducted on the coupling and coordinated development of red tourism and ideological and political education of college students in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with questionnaires method. The development level and influencing factors of the coupling coordination degree of both parties are evaluated profoundly by integrating the relative development degree and grey correlation degree method, and the correlation degree is calculated and ranked. The result shows that the degree of coupling coordination is in the order of Central region, Western region, Northern region and Eastern region from high to low with five factors. The paper puts forward six strategies to offer reference for further coupled coordination development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other areas in red tourism and college students’ ideological education.
