Dr. K.K. Viswanathan is currently working as a professor in the Faculty of Mathematics at Samarkand State University, Uzbekistan, and has been since August 2022. He completed his Ph.D. in 1998 and was awarded the degree in 1999 from Anna University, India, where he specialized in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. His journey started as a post-doctoral researcher in IISC Bangalore, India, and he received the BK21 scientist award for three years to work as a post-doctoral fellow in the Division of Mechanical Engineering, Inha University and the Department of Mathematics, Seoul National University in South Korea in the years 2003, 2004, and 2007. He held the position of Foreign Professor, teaching engineering mathematics, and mechanics in the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, at Inha University, South Korea for three years between 2008 and 2010. He also was an associate professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for six years. He worked as an associate professor at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology, Kuwait. He has published many research articles in reputed international journals and conference proceedings, visited many countries for his research presentations, and has been an invited speaker. His areas of interest include the vibration of composite plates and shells, fluid structure interactions, and the numerical methods of fluid dynamics.
