As an extension to the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT), Web of Things (WoT) represents a step towards connecting smart things to the existing web environment while considering issues such as heterogeneity, scalability, and usability. This paper is dedicated to current opportunities as well as challenges for development in the concept of WoT. The theoretical foundations of the Internet of Things concept, such as architecture, protocols, services, and things themselves, which form the basis of both concepts, are described in the paper. The paper deals with the necessary preconditions for developing the concept of Web of Things. The main contribution of the paper is a proposal of architecture based on the FIWARE platform as the basis for the development of Web of Things. The demonstration of the proposed architecture is described by a real case scenario.

Introduction/purpose: The main purpose of this paper is to present a novel Java GUI - based software application for a comparative analysis of fingerprint and iris biometrics. Methods: The first part of this work is realized in Java Programming language. in the GUI framework named swing while the rest of the paper shows in detail the advantages and disadvantages of both systems and gives scientific data on when fingerprint and iris recognition can be used to enable top level security. The main method here is a well known comparative analysis. Results: The results were obtained for both fingerprint and iris biometrics, showing the difference between the two. Conclusion: Different types of biometrics, based on body parts formed at different age, are given as well as the comparison of their security levels.

The patent device named 'Device for biometric identification of maternity" is a dual fingerprint scanner that provides data of mother and baby fingerprints at the very moment of birth and further guarantees the maternity of a newborn baby by generating a unique ID reference and encrypting that data with the highest level of protection. For the first time, we enrolled qualitative research that proves a baby's identity at the very moment of birth based on the fingerprint minutiae. No one has done it until today! The realised technical solution scans, processes, stores, saves and encrypts personal data with one main purpose - to prove maternity of every newborn baby with 100% accuracy. By fingerprint scanning of both the mother and the baby's fingerprints simultaneously at the very moment of birth, ID is generated and stored. This allays potential fear of babies being replaced. Every identity is guaranteed. By encrypting this data, the whole process is raised to the highest security and confidentiality levels in maternity wards worldwide. In each case, the fear that almost every mother has in this period is allayed as well as the question: "Is this my baby?".

Biometry is the scientific discipline and technology that measures and analyzes physiological or behavioral characteristics of people and is widely deployed in modern society security systems. Device for biometric identification of maternity is a dual fingerprint scanner that acquires fingerprint templates of the mother and the child at the very moment of birth, generates unique ID reference, and further guarantees mother-child relationship with that reference. Technical issue that is solved with this work and the proposed device is scanning, processing, and storing encrypted biometric templates with a goal to provide a 100% guarantee maternity for each new born child. Scanning the fingerprints of both mother and the child simultaneously, at moment of birth, and pairing them with unique ID reference removes potential fears occurring from hospital negligence to malicious activities, while the data encryption raises the whole process to the highest level of security and confidentiality. The main contribution of the device that removes the fear that almost every mother has in this period as it provides an answer to the question: “Is this my baby?” with a 100% guarantee “It’s certainly yours!”

This study presents a structural cryptanalysis of a Fiat–Shamir-type digital-signature candidate based on class-2 nilpotent Lie algebras over finite fields. We show that the public transformation is linear in the signing secret and that public-key inversion reduces to a consistent linear system over the underlying finite field, solvable in polynomial time by Gaussian elimination. Because the associated linear map has a non-trivial kernel, the public key determines an affine family of equivalent signing secrets rather than a unique private key. Any compatible representative can therefore be used to generate a valid signature for a fresh message without access to a signing oracle, yielding a polynomial-time no-message forgery and failure of EUF-CMA security. The baseline evaluation considered n=16, 32, 64 and 128, using ten independently generated Lie algebra instances per dimension and ten cryptographic trials per instance. In the 400 baseline trials, none of the recovered compatible secrets coincided with the corresponding originally sampled private key, yet every recovered representative was sufficient to generate an accepted forgery, yielding a 100% experimental forgery rate. Additional sensitivity experiments on field size, central fraction, and bracket density showed that these parameters affect practical attack cost and rank-nullity structure but do not remove the vulnerability. The results demonstrate that the examined class-2 transformation is unsuitable as a hardness basis for a secure digital-signature construction or a meaningful post-quantum security claim.

This work presents a novel method for biometric identity verification for newborn babies in maternity wards based on fingerprint minutiae. The information system realized combines contemporary program languages such as: Java and Python as object-oriented languages, C programming language for device programming as structural (line) and SQL for storing encrypted data in a relational database management system. Also, there is the RSA asynchronous cryptographic algorithm as well as keys for storing the encrypted data of fingerprint minutiae. The information system implements a device for biometric verification of maternity i.e. a dual fingerprint scanner that provides data of mother's and baby's fingerprints at the very moment of childbirth and further guarantees maternity for each newborn baby with 100% accuracy, by generating a unique ID reference and encrypting these data with cancelable biometrics. This is a novel method for determining identity based on baby's fingerprint minutiae.
