I am a veterinary epidemiologist, researcher and university lecturer with interests in infectious and zoonotic diseases, animal health risk assessment and disease prevention. I serve as Director of the Risk Assessment Center on Food Chain in Bulgaria, Chief Veterinary Officer of Bulgaria, and Member of the EFSA Management Board. At Trakia University, I teach veterinary epidemiology, infectious diseases, preventive veterinary medicine and bee diseases, with research focused on emerging animal diseases, zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance and One Health.
