Lei Wang is now a full professor at Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the CAS Center for Excellence in Tibetan Plateau Earth Sciences, as well as the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). His current research is focused on climate change and water cycle (in particular the cryosphere hydrological processes) over the Tibetan Plateau, for an improved predictability of regional water resources and water-related disasters (e.g., floods and droughts).
