Dr. Liangyu Shi graduated from Nanjing Agricultural University in June 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, specialising in animal science. He received his Master’s degree in Agronomy from China Agricultural University in June 2018, specialising in Animal Genetic Breeding and Reproduction. He received his PhD in Animal Genetic Breeding and Reproduction from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2021. His research focuses on combining bioinformatics with the use of sequencing data to identify important genes for growth, development, and reproductive traits in pigs and cattle, with the aim of revealing their genetic mechanisms. He has also proposed new methods and algorithms for genome-wide selection statistics.
