Prof. Dr. Luciane Maria Colla is a Professor in the Graduate Program in Agronomy (PPGAGRO), School of Agrarian Sciences, Innovations, and Business (ESAN), at the University of Passo Fundo (UPF), and is in the Graduate Program in Civil and Environmental Engineering. She graduated in Food Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 1999, obtained her MSc in 2002, and completed her Ph.D. in Food Engineering and Science from the same university in 2009. Her research interests include microalgae cultivation for bioproducts and environmental applications, particularly in the production of third-generation biofuels; submerged and solid-state fermentation; production of biosurfactants and lipases; and bioremediation of oily residues in soils.
