Igor Mindukshev graduated from the Leningrad Technological Institute in 1986. In the same year, he entered the graduate school of the Institute of Evolutionary Physiology and Biochemistry, and graduated in 2010. He is a specialist in the field of sports physiology and the biochemistry and physiology of erythrocytes.
