Muhammad Waseem, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the School of Business at Maynooth University, Ireland, and a researcher at the IRESI group. An IEEE member, he specializes in power and energy systems optimization, smart grids, and distributed energy resource integration. His research focuses on sustainable energy systems, data analytics, and the application of ML/AI in business analytics for sustainable business models. He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from UET Taxila, Pakistan, and Zhejiang University, China. Previously, he was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at Maynooth University, working on the SYMECO project under Lero. He also served as a postdoctoral fellow at CAiRS, a collaboration between Hong Kong PolyU and UMD, USA. Dr. Waseem has published in top journals like Elsevier, IEEE, and IET and has presented at leading conferences, including AUPEC, UPEC, and iSPEC.
