Magdalena Ligus is an associate professor at the Department of Corporate and Public Finance at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, Poland. Magdalena Ligus obtained her post-doctoral degree (habilitation) in economics and finance awarded by the Scientific Council of the Discipline of Economics and Finance of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business on June 30, 2020. She presented her post- doctoral dissertation titled ” Evaluation of environmental effects of low-emission energy sources – application in selected project appraisal methods”. She obtained her doctoral degree in economic sciences in the field of economics awarded by the resolution of the Council of the Faculty of Management, Computer Science and Finance at Wrocław University of Economics (20.12.2007). She presented her doctoral dissertation titled “The application of cost-benefit analysis in assessing the economic effectiveness of investments in renewable energy sources” and passed the doctoral exam with distinction. She graduated with honors as MSc in finance and investment from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Economics in Katowice (20.02.2003) defending thesis titled “Implementation of environmental valuation methods to calculate the pro-ecological investment effectiveness on the example of a flue gas desulfurization installation at the Łaziska SA power plant”.
