Mahfuzur Rahman is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his bachelor’s degree from IUBAT under the Department of Civil Engineering in 2014. He earned his MSc in Water Resources Engineering from Hohai University and is currently pursuing a PhD degree in Physical Geography (Hydrology) at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior to joining the College of Engineering and Technology at IUBAT as a Junior Lecturer in 2014, Mr. Rahman was working as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering at the same university. Mr. Rahman’s research interests include advanced remote sensing techniques, hydraulic modeling, machine learning algorithms in natural hazards, data mining, and statistical modeling.
