Dr. Maja Ivana Smodis Skerl

Maja Ivana Smodiš Škerl completed her Undergraduate Study from the Veterinary Faculty, University of Ljubljana, and Doctoral Study from the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences University of Maribor. She is currently a Researcher at the Animal Production Department, Beekeeping, Agricultural institute of Slovenia. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Matematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, University of Primorska, Teaching Beekeeping. Her research interests include honey bee nutrition; honey bee pathology; selection of Carniolan honey bees; queen breeding; sensory evaluation of honey.
