Ma’mon M Hatmal is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Hashemite University. He graduated from Hashemite University in 2004 and received a Master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. He has been the Vice Dean of Scientific Research since 2021. He won the Distinguished Research Award from the Ministry of Higher Education/Jordan in 2017. His main research interests include Bioinformatics, in particular computer-aided molecular discovery towards new bioactive compounds, and computational predictions of 3D structures of biological macromolecules; exploring the anti-cancer properties of natural products; and determining genetic factors associated with different diseases.
