Hamid Reza Marateb is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Engineering Faculty, University of Isfahan, and a Senior Researcher at the Biomedical Engineering Research Center, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) BarcelonaTech. He completed his Ph.D. studies in biomedical engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Dr. Marateb has been awarded several prestigious honors, including the Marie Curie TecnioSpring Fellowship and the Beatriu de Pinós Fellowship. He has recently led significant projects, such as the EU-funded project on COVID-19 mortality risk assessment. Dr. Marateb has published over 50 papers in various high-impact journals and serves as an Editorial Board Member for several international journals, including Frontiers in Physiology. His teaching disciplines include biomedical signal processing and data mining, with research interests spanning medical device efficacy, AI in healthcare, and regulatory compliance.
