Marcella Bonanomi is a Researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), Institute of Bioimaging and Complex Biological Systems (IBSBC), Segrate, Italy. Her research focuses on mass spectrometry–based metabolomics, metabolic profiling, and the study of metabolic alterations in complex biological systems. She develops and applies untargeted and targeted metabolomics approaches, isotope tracing strategies, and advanced data analysis workflows to characterize metabolic reprogramming, identify potential biomarkers, and support translational research. Her expertise includes LC‑MS and GC‑MS platforms and the application of metabolomics to diverse biological models, including cellular systems, model organisms and clinical samples.
