Alessandro Marinaccio is the Research Director and Head of the
Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Unit at Inail (Italian National Institute for the Insurance of Work-Related Injuries). His research activity is focused on occupational epidemiology and the surveillance systems of occupational cancers and diseases, with special attention on asbestos-related health effects. Climate change and its effect on safety and health at work is his field of research, such as the occupational risk factors for nasal cancer. He is a fellow of Collegium Ramazzini and leads the Italian mesothelioma register (ReNaM). He was the principal
investigator in national and international research projects concerning occupational cancers and disease epidemiology and surveillance.
