Psychologist and PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience, I work at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS – Department of Neuroscience, Section of Psychiatry. My research lies at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience and clinical psychiatry, with experience ranging from basic studies on the spatial representation of number and time to clinical investigations in patients with right hemisphere lesions and spatial neglect. Over the years, I have employed behavioral, EEG, and neuroimaging methods to explore the neural correlates of various cognitive processes, such as attention and numerical cognition. Recently, I have extended my research interests to mood disorders, focusing particularly on unipolar depression in young populations and bipolar disorder. My current goal is to contribute to the development of integrated and holistic approaches that connect cognitive mechanisms to psychiatric phenotypes.
