Dr Ezquerro is trained in Forestry. I obtained the degree as Forest Engineer at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in July 2011. Just after graduation (2011), I was hired in the Sylviculture Department (UPM) through a collaboration research scholarship for nine months. In 2015, I started my PhD within the Advanced Forestry Research program at the UPM, through a predoctoral scholarship (FPU). In addition, I have been integrated in two research groups Economy and sustainability of the natural environment (ECSEN) and Spanish Multicriteria Decision Group (GEDM), with which I have participated in several projects, meetings and conferences and which have made me grow as a researcher. I was a research member of the international SUFORUN project, with which I made a three months stay at the University of Chile (2019). In 2022, I obtained a three-year Margarita Salas contract for the training of young doctors, within a new grant program for requalification, international mobility and the attraction of talent in the Spanish University System. Following the instructions of the grant program, I did a two-years research stay at the Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria (INIA-CSIC), where I had the opportunity to work at the Dinámica, modelización y gestión forestal research group of ICIFOR. Nowadays, I have returned to the UPM.
