Prof. Martino Di Serio graduated from the University of Naples “Federico II” in Industrial Chemistry, in 1988. He moved on to becoming a Temporary Lecturer in Industrial Chemistry with the University of Salerno, from 1990 to 1992. In 1993 he became Assistant Professor in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Salerno. In 1995 he joined the Chemistry Department of the University of Naples “Federico II”, where from 2001 to June 2017 he was an Associate Professor of Industrial Chemistry. Since, July 2017 he has become a Full Prof. of Industrial Chemistry. He is the head of Naples Industrial Chemistry Laboratory (NICL) and his field of research is Industrial Chemistry, more specifically industrial catalysis and kinetic studies of complex reactions in multi-phase reactors. More recently his main field of activity has been in biofuel production and the use of renewable resources as raw materials for industrial chemistry. The results of his scientific activities have been published in over 290 papers in a wide range of international chemistry journals, proceedings, and patents. From 2019 to 2021, he has been the president of the Division of Industrial Chemistry of SCI. From March 2002 he has beenVice President of Federazione Nazionale degli Ordini dei Chimici e dei Fisici.
