Maryam Malmir is a Professor of Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants and Phytotherapy in the Department of Pharmacy, Pharmacology, and Health Technologies at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Universidade de Lisboa (FFUL). She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacy (Pharmacognosy and Ethnopharmacology) and is an active integrated researcher at the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa). Her research focuses on the quality, safety, and efficacy of bioactive substances and herbal preparations, including the development of quality control monographs and safety evaluations, with particular interests in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Discovery.
