I am an Environmental and Forestry Engineer with a Master's degree in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development, and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering. My research focuses on emerging contaminants, particularly microplastics, anthropogenic microparticles, and potentially toxic metals, with an emphasis on their occurrence, distribution, environmental fate, and associated ecological and human health risks. My current research investigates microplastic contamination in Lake Titicaca and its watershed, airborne microplastics, and metal contamination in urban environments. I employ multidisciplinary approaches that integrate environmental monitoring, analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, statistical analysis, and risk assessment to better understand contaminant behavior and support evidence-based environmental management. My broader research interests include environmental pollution, water quality, atmospheric contamination, environmental risk assessment, environmental chemistry, and sustainable resource management.
