Prof. Miodrag Micic is Professor of Engineering Design Technology, Engineering Technology, New Product Development, and Plastics Manufacturing at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California. His research interests include medical devices, life science instrumentation and methods development, microelectromechanical systems, rapid prototyping, and colloid and surface chemistry. He teaches courses in engineering design, manufacturing, and plastics technology. A SOLIDWORKS Champion and Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert, he leads the Southern California SOLIDWORKS User Group. He also serves as a consultant and board member for companies in life sciences, medical devices, and additive manufacturing. Previously, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Gojira Fine Chemicals LLC; Vice President for Research and Development at MP Biomedicals LLC; and Senior Application Scientist and Product Manager at Veeco Instruments' Metrology Division, now part of Bruker Nano Surfaces. His academic appointments include Adjunct Project Scientist at the BioMEMS Laboratory, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of California, Irvine, and postdoctoral research fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, a US Department of Energy laboratory operated by Battelle.
