Graduated in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in 2002. Holds a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from the same institution (2006), with emphasis on phytochemistry and structural elucidation by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. Began his academic career in 2003 as a substitute lecturer in Organic Chemistry at UFC, where he remained until 2007. Since then, he has worked at several higher education institutions, most notably at UNIFAMETRO, teaching courses in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Toxicology. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and a member of the Center for Biopharmacy Studies (CEB), conducting research in Computational Chemistry and Bioinformatics. His current research focuses on in silico approaches for the development of new therapies targeting neglected diseases, particularly tuberculosis, applying Machine Learning techniques to QSAR analyses, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics simulations. He has developed a Drug Discovery suite comprising the interfaces CODRUG, CODYN, and CODOC, designed for the automation and integration of virtual screening and drug discovery pipelines.
