My research focuses on developing assessment/optimization tools for threaded joints used in automotive applications. I use an integrated approach that combines genetic algorithms in Python with finite element analysis (FEA) in ANSYS to explore various bolt layouts, optimize tightening strategies, and analyze the effects of elastic interactions between bolts.
