I have been a research professor at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí in Mexico since 2005. I obtained my Master's and PhD in Electronic Engineering at the National Centre for Research and Technological Development in Mexico in 1999 and 2005, respectively. My research areas are automatic control and fault diagnosis. I design linear and nonlinear control schemes for power electronics converters, with applications including power quality, battery energy storage systems connected to AC mains, battery chargers, and electric vehicle power trains. I also design supervisory systems dedicated to battery state estimation for battery management systems in backup and electric vehicle applications. I am currently studying PHIL simulation stability for OPAL-RT and RTDS platforms. My research involves analysing industrial problems related to my field. I provide advanced technical support and manage R&D projects for new electronic products. Notable achievements include the TRL-7 Battery Bank Supervisory System and the TRL-5 Universal Battery Charger.
