**Natalia S. Klimenko** was born on July 1, 1991, in Inta, Komi Republic, Russia. She received her B.Sc. degree in Biology from Syktyvkar State University in 2012 and her M.Sc. degree in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry from Saint Petersburg State University in 2015. In 2019, she completed her postgraduate studies in Genetics at the N.I. Vavilov All-Russian Institute of Plant Genetic Resources (VIR). From 2015 to 2023, she worked at VIR, progressing from Research Assistant to Research Scientist in the Department of Biotechnology. Since October 2023, she has been working as a Research Scientist at the All-Russian Institute of Plant Protection (VIZR), Saint Petersburg, Russia. Her research interests include plant genetics, molecular biology, biotechnology, and plant–insect interactions.
