Neeti Sanan-Mishra received her BSc from the University of Delhi, India in 1990. She then joined Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi, India) and completed her MSc in 1992 and PhD in 1997. She was a Research Scientist at the University of Delhi (1998–1999) before joining the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in 2000 as a Research Associate. In 2006 she became the Staff Research Scientist and she is now the Group Leader of Plant RNAi Biology at ICGEB in New Delhi, India.
