Mr. Nhlanganiso Ivan Madondo is currently enrolled for his DEng in Chemical Engineering at DUT. He completed his BTech cum laude at Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), and his MEng at DUT. He was awarded the 2011 Institute of Professional Engineering Technologist Award for the highest academic achievement in BTech Engineering at MUT. He received the 2022 NRF Research Excellence Award for Next Generation Researchers (Engineering Category) in recognition of outstanding academic performance by a doctoral student. He received the 2022 Top Doctoral Student Award (Platinum) at DUT. His project is entitled: Synergistic Influence of Magneto-Bioelectrochemical System and Metal-based Additives on the Anaerobic Digestion of Sewage Sludge.
